July harvest

fava bean and raspberry

Carrot is ready to pull  as baby carrot, but that is LO snack bar. Our raspberry patch is full of berries this year, the best harvest so far since I planted it 5 years ago. I only pick half of them, because LO like to eat it straight from the bush, so I have to leave some of berries for her snack bar too.

The top pictures are fava bean and some peapods. Fava bean is become our favourite crop that always on the list to plant them every year. It is so easy to grow, just sow the seed in early April and let them grow, just make sure keep the ground moist. These fava bean are only half of the crop. They will be ready for the second crop sometime in August.
