A classic cinnamon sugar cookies recipe that is easy and simple to make for the holiday season or anytime. Dairy-free.

What do I make for the seventh day of the holiday cookie baking week? I bake Rolled Cinnamon Sugar Cookies. We often find cinnamon throughout the holiday season, from gift wrap decor, centerpiece, holiday drink like eggnog, candle scent and of course on holiday cooking. So, because of this reason, Rolled Cinnamon Sugar Cookies would be perfect to include on the holiday cookie tray alongside the Matcha Mint Sugar Cookies.

Why does Rolled Cinnamon Sugar Cookies perfect for Christmas:

  • The house smells lovely during and after baking.
  • Very easy to make without special tool needed.
  • Only use the essential ingredient that always available in the pantry.
  • Christmas is perfect with cinnamon scent.

The dough requires the chilling period for two hours, so that allows you to do something else around the house, maybe finishing up the gift wrapping, or start to decorate the tree if you did not start it yet. There is always lots of things to do around the house especially when the holiday season is coming.

Tips for making cinnamon cookies

I use dairy-free butter with soft consistency, feel free to use any butter you like, but make sure to soften the butter first not melted by leaving it on the kitchen countertop until it soft. I can smell cinnamon throughout the house during baking up to a few hours after.

I guess I don’t need scent candle in the house if I bake this Rolled Cinnamon Sugar Cookies. It would be perfect to enjoy the cookie with hot chocolate.

Creating the perfect holiday cookie tray

You can make the perfect holiday cookie tray with your homemade cookies. Add this Double Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies because chocolate is ideal for any occasion. Also, don’t forget to add the Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies because it is the most comforting cookie ever.

Include the gluten-free option, and the Tapioca Spritz Cookies is a beautiful shape cookie with the melt in the mouth texture that perfect for this holiday season.

Literally just made these and while it is a delicious batter, when i baked them for 10 minutes they completely ran together like one giant sheet of cookie. No shape at all. Suggestions? I am super disappointing. I was really looking forward to these.

Oh no, I am sorry to hear that. Did you let the dough thaw or warm completely before you roll it? Best is to keep the rolled cookie dough cold when you ready to bake it. I am sure the cookie you made is still delicious.
