Strawberry Nice Cream

Homemade and healthy no-churn strawberry ice cream recipe with only two ingredients. Dairy-free, gluten-free.

Summer is not complete with ice cream, right? I do stock the freezer with lots of ice cream from the freeze pop, frozen yogurt, popsicles. These treat always disappeared quickly with this hot summer. Most of the times I made the simple popsicles from fruit juices, and it still a special treat for my little one.

Related: See how I made the Freezie Cozy and kept your fingers warm while you enjoy the freeze pop.

With this strawberry season now, I made it into ice cream, or I better call it nice cream because that is the famous name for it. This nice cream is only two ingredients, and it is no churn, no ice cream maker, no need to wait for hours and hours until it ready to enjoy.

Homemade and healthy no-churn strawberry ice cream recipe with only two ingredients. Dairy-free, gluten-free.
Course: Dessert
Cuisine: American
Servings: 6
Author: Ina Wrobel
Ingredients
  • 2 cups frozen strawberry
  • 4 frozen banana
Instructions
  1. Prepare the loaf pan, line it with parchment paper.
  2. Put all ingredients in the food processor.
  3. Process it until smoothes and all well blended.
  4. Pour the nice cream into the prepared pan.
  5. Freeze it for 3-4 hours for scoopable ice cream.
Recipe Notes
  • I use the 8 cups food processor which is too small for this, so I processed it in two batches then I mix it all once it smooth.
  • I use fresh strawberries that have been frozen until it ready to process into nice cream.
  • You can enjoy it as soft ice cream before you put it into the freezer.

I love how easy it is to make the nice cream, and the sweet comes from the natural sweetness of banana and strawberry, so no need to add the sweetener. Ha! Too much word ‘sweet’ here. But seriously, you will love this kind of ice cream, another great way to use up those ripe bananas.

Do you always have overripe bananas? Well, I do. So, here are some ways to use it up.
