This adorable corner bookmark is from a bundle of charm pack fabric squares, the same bundle from this hand sanitizer holder and earbud pouch keychain.
Supply To Make Corner Bookmarks
Charm pack fabric size is 5″ square. I use this fabric size for easy preparation. There is no process for measuring and cutting the fabric, and it also often comes in bundles with various prints or colours.
You can also make a smaller corner bookmark using square fabrics smaller than charm pack size or scrap fabrics as long as there is enough to make three square pieces.
- 3 pieces of charm-pack size or 5 inches square fabric each. There are two pieces for the back side and one piece for the front side.
- 2 pieces of 5 inches square each fusible interfacing
- Disappeared ink marker or use this dual-purpose fabric marker
- Pin or quilting clips
- Thread
- Scissors
- Chopstick
- Ruler
- Sewing machine
- Ironing machine

Fold one of the interfacing squares in half diagonally or draw a diagonal line across two corners. Cut the interfacing on the diagonal line.
Put one triangle interfacing on the wrong side of a fabric square for the front side.
Fold it in half on the diagonal line. Press it with the ironing machine to fuse the triangle interfacing, so now the fabric is a triangle shape.
Put one square interfacing on top of the wrong side of one fabric square for the back side. Then, press it with the ironing machine to fuse the interfacing to the fabric.
Sandwich all material, the right side of the square fabric for the back with fused interfacing facing up, triangle fabric or front side, and the right side of the other square fabric for the back facing down.
All raw fabric edges should be aligned.
Sew along the edge with a 0.5″ seam allowance (or smaller seam allowance, like 0.25″) and skip 2″ for the opening gap.
Clip all corners to reduce bulk.
Turn the fabric right side out.
Push each corner with a chopstick or any pointy object like a pencil.
Fold the opening gap inward and press the corner bookmark with an ironing machine.
Topstitch along the edge and close the opening gap at the same time.
Your corner bookmark from fabric is ready to use now.
The final size of the corner bookmark using the 5″ square fabric is around 4″ square with a 0.5″ seam allowance. Use square fabrics smaller than 5″ square for a smaller corner bookmark.
This DIY fabric bookmark is perfect for the stocking stuffer. Use the specific fabric color and print to personalize it based on the gift receiver’s favourite.
