You only need a small square piece of fabric scrap for each gift tag. Use it for Christmas gift tags, birthday gift tags, or any other occasion to customize the gift wrapping.
Supply To Make DIY Fabric Gift Tags
Use any fabric prints to sew on the gift tag. I use fabric scraps with Christmas theme prints from various projects like this Book Tote Bag, a reverse applique Santa Belt Mug Rug, and a vintage-inspired Ruffled Edge Mug Rug.
For easier and faster ways to make multiple fabric squares, make a 1.5″ square paper template. Then, trace the template on each fabric scrap. I trace the paper square on the specific prints of each fabric for the focal point.
Print the gift tag template (the link for the template is on the list below) on colored card stock paper or construction paper size 8.5″ x 11″. If it’s too large, trace the copy paper to make the colored paper match the size used on the printer. Set the printer on Fit, Auto, 97%.
